The SIDEARM software gives you the tools to tailor your site specifically for your program. Check out our newest schedule and bio designs (in addition to our current offerings!) to find the layout that best fits your needs.

Under the schedule and roster sections in the SIDEARM back end, you will find a ‘Set Default Template’ option. Here, you can activate any of our new or current templates for a single sport or all sports. To compare, easily preview each one prior to making it live.

Our new templates come with some exciting new features:

Schedule Template 1

The concept behind this first option is to present a more compact version of the default schedule to make room for additional site content. A quick glance at any site’s analytics will show that the schedule pages are the most populated of any page on the site. To accommodate, we have added a column of content to the right of the schedule housing videos and news related to the sport and team leaders for sports that support statistical integration.

In the schedule area, we display all standard game information, including conference denotation (now as a logo instead of just text!). Below the game information, we include the coverage and related game file links, providing ample space for multiple links per game.

The schedule retains some functionality from the “default” schedule. Selecting a specific game will present you with pre/postgame story links and stats info postgame.

Schedule Template 2

The second addition takes an entirely new approach to displaying a schedule by breaking games into two separate tabs, events and scores. The events tab displays all upcoming games. Once a game result is entered, the game will move into the scores tab. This will help make it easier to find all upcoming games, especially for sports with long schedules such as baseball and softball.

In the scores tab, results are displayed in more of a scoreboard style, featuring both team’s names and logos, with standard box score and recap links to the right. Additional game links appear in a row below the teams. The Details button presents pre/postgame story info along with postgame stats info.

Bio Template 1

The first new feature of this design brings the roster dropdown to the left of the page. We display the full roster with headshots, names and position info. This makes it even easier for fans to navigate between players.

In the bio area, we have split the stats into separate tabs for season and career, a change that has been highly requested from your feedback! We now include season and career stat snapshots, so you can easily see an “average” before navigating into the full stat tabs.

Bio Template 2

The second bio option offers a few tweaks to the default layout, sticking with a dropdown for the roster list, which now sits on top of a minimized player action photo. Fans have the option to expand the image, but this will allow for more content to be displayed before scrolling. The circular player headshot resides in the center of the page.

The rest of the page sticks to the new “two tab” format for stats mentioned in Template 1 while featuring some related media below that. This version could be ideal for sports that without stat integrations, such as swimming or track.

We hope you enjoy these additional options to help give your site a more unique look.
