Rollout of the much anticipated career stats upgrades has begun.

The major change here is that you will no longer be required to upload a team (season) xml file to populate career stats on bio pages. Instead, these will be updated from the individual game files that are uploaded after each contest.

As each site receives this update, we have service that will look back at all schedules where individual game files have been loaded and compile career stats from those files. This will help provide updated career stats to sites that either were not uploading team files or would forget to update them which is something we saw often while testing.

The upgrade has also been made backwards compatible to ensure seasons where only a team xml file was uploaded will still have stats. This will work where if no individual game files exist, then the team file will be use to populate career stats from that season. This also then leaves the door open to continue using these for older seasons where individual files are not accessible.

There is also a new game stats edit area where you can adjust stats from an individual game, but note this would only alter the career stats. We will look to expand functionality of this area in future upgrades.

The release of the upgrade will continue through the next week with the goal of getting it out to most by the start of the fall season, Labor Day weekend.
