Coming soon as part of our continued SEO initiatives will be a NEW URL structure for your web pages!

Under this new structure, links will breakdown the content that is being viewed, making them more recognizable by search engines and easier to access by the average user.

If you’re curious how this change will look, let’s navigate to the Johns Hopkins site and check out the 2018 men’s lacrosse schedule. Prior to this update, the link would have read as https://hopkinssports.com/schedule.aspx?schedule=109. This link doesn’t really tell you what you are viewing, all you know is its a schedule of some kind. Now, under the new structure, the link is https://hopkinssports.com/sports/mens-lacrosse/schedule/2018. Here, we replaced the ID number with a full description so its obvious you are viewing the men’s lacrosse schedule from 2018. This is the format you will see throughout the site going forward.

Take a look at a few more examples below of how this will look when the update makes its way to your SIDEARM site!
